Hair loss, is a common problem for both men and women around the world. There re various traditional methods that promises regrowth or items to cover hair loss or thinning hair.

The latest treatment to stimulate hair regrowth is viaPlatelet-Rich Plasma therapy, or PRP.

Based on the “vampire facelift” technique which reduces the appearance of fine lines and acne, PRP involves drawing a small amount of the patient’s own blood. It is then spun at very high speed (centrifuged) to separate the blood into its constituent parts. The plasma and platelets are then removed from the solution and injected or rubbed into the scalp.

PRP therapy works on the principle that platelet-rich plasma contains the essential building blocks required for tissue regeneration and healing which in turn strengthen hair follicles and thicken existing hair.

Patients undergo at least eight PRP therapy cycles and are expected to see the first signs of growth after just four.
